Job Purpose:
The Business Unit Head Vaccines role is an exciting leadership position, leading our overall vaccine business with dedicated teams. You are accountable for maximizing the performance of our very exciting and innovative vaccine portfolio, which are a significant pillar of (future) GSK business in Israel. You will provide engaging leadership to enhance the competitive performance of your team and prepare for future launches, whilst ensuring strategic alignment to the global brand strategy. You will be working as a member of the Israeli Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member of the Israeli Leadership Team
- Lead the Vaccines business unit:
- Accountable for meeting Vaccines market share and financial performance ambition
- Set and communicate clear goals, aligned to global strategy, for the priority brands and embed this into competitive customer experience plans
- Lead the team to successfully launch new Shingles vaccine in NIP
- Coordinate with cross functional team of Market Access, Medical and others yearly Basket of Health strategy and execution
- Provide leadership and coaching to the Sales Managers that are leading the KAM teams
- Lead the marketing team, developing high quality marketing capabilities and industry best omni-channel plans and materials
- Monitor competitive environment and ensure business plans are competitive in terms of tactics and investment
- Responsible for the overall Launch readiness of new vaccines
- Lead cross-functional planning for key tenders and ensure execution of tender strategy
- Actively manage performance by embedding and tracking (input & output) KPIs on an individual and team basis, using our internal and external performance platforms.
- Lead monthly Vaccines national performance meeting with focus on progress against strategic goals based on data and account / customer insights
- Lead volume and value forecasting and financial forecasting according to GSK processes (Plan, Update 2, Latest Estimates, demand and supply forecasts/DRM)
- Set high standards for and actively drive cross-functional cooperation with medical and market access teams
- Provide inspiring leadership for your team
- Live and expect compliance with the GSK Values and Expectations and Anti Bribery and Corruption
- Spend time externally on co-drives with Vaccine KAMs or triple coaching
- Support team members’ development and grow organizational talent by frequent development conversations and feedback
- Regularly review operational plans to ensure optimal investment of A&P budget
- Ensure all materials, activities & events organized / participated to, comply with the GSK Code of Conduct and Israeli rules for pharmaceutical promotion.
- As member of the Risk Management and Compliance Board, ensure a healthy risk profile for our external operations and play an active part in our Internal Control Framework through Management Monitoring activities.
- Maintaining a healthy successor pipeline, by development of organizational talent by actively developing the individuals and mentoring them in preparation for key roles.
Educational Background:
- University Degree in Science, pharmacy or business/economics
- The role requires solid understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and sales, including tendering. The role holder must be able to evaluate business opportunities, financial viability of commercial strategies and to understand public and private vaccine market dynamics. Includes extensive people leadership
- Hebrew language is mandatory
Job-Related Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in commercial roles with both sales and marketing experience
- Strong business acumen and proven track-record in driving performance
- Vaccine experience is a plus
- Team leadership experience and ability to develop people
