Responsibilities:
Cleaning Common Areas: Perform regular cleaning of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, staircases, elevators, and entrance areas. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces to maintain a tidy appearance.
Waste Management: Collect and dispose of garbage, recycling, and other waste materials from designated areas within the block of flats. Ensure proper separation and disposal methods are followed, in accordance with local regulations.
Floor Care: Clean and maintain floor surfaces, including carpets, tiles, and hardwood floors. This may involve vacuuming, shampooing carpets, mopping, and buffing floors to maintain cleanliness and shine.
Window Cleaning: Clean windows and glass surfaces in common areas, ensuring they are streak-free and presentable. This may involve using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools, such as squeegees and microfiber cloths.
Maintenance Support: Report any maintenance or repair needs observed during cleaning, such as broken lights, leaky faucets, or damaged fixtures. Assist in maintaining the general appearance and functionality of common areas by promptly notifying the appropriate personnel.
Dusting and Polishing: Dust and polish surfaces, including handrails, fixtures, furniture, and other communal items. Ensure that these areas are free from dust, smudges, and fingerprints.
Stock Maintenance: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary. Keep an inventory of cleaning materials and notify the supervisor when items need to be restocked.
Communication and Customer Service: Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with residents, visitors, and colleagues. Respond to inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a courteous manner, or escalate them to the appropriate authority.
Adherence to Safety Regulations: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required, handle cleaning chemicals correctly, and maintain awareness of potential hazards.
